  • with ending on -ь
  • or hushing sounds
  • (for example: мысль, гордость, ветвь).
  • In case of hushing sounds
  • third declension is determined
  • (orthographically) at Ь
  • (for example: рожь, мышь, печь)
  • in contrast to the second declension -
  • чиж, плюш, меч.
  • Declension is the inflection of nouns, pronouns, adjectives, and articles to indicate number
  • (singular and plural), case and gender.
