This week The Duke of York undertook engagements in Bahrain visiting Shree Nathji (Shree Krushna) Hindu Temple in Bahrain, which is celebrating its 200th anniversary and is the oldest place of worship for the Hindu community in Bahrain.
His Royal Highness also visited the UK’s Naval Support Facility in Mina Salman port, which he officially opened last year. HRH served for 22 years in the Royal Navy, and is now a Vice-Admiral. HRH met His Highness Sheikh Isa Bin Salman al Khalifa.
At The Royal University for Women, the first private, purpose built, international university in Bahrain dedicated solely to education, The Duke met with some of the Award winning Entrepreneurship students.
HRH presented the first ever iDEA certificates in Bahrain and attended Pitch@Palace Bahrain 2.0. HRH founded Pitch in 2014 to accelerate the work of Entrepreneurs, which is now active in 61 countries and has created 3,669 jobs.
