My guess is that before the Big Bang ... there has been an infinite number of other big bangs.
When black holes get denser and denser, and when black holes fusion all together, it attracts the universe even more, to the point that it becomes this minuscule 10 ^- 33 cm point that reachs a wall and can't densify anymore, so it's exploding. And that would be a motor of expansion of the universe, the universe breathing. and so on and so on ...

Stephen Hawking, I think you forgot that when scientists considered the collapse of a dying star to contrive a model desplicative of the big bang that they were looking for clues.
(I'm not trying to condescend you, not actually.)
Backwards really is not Forwards, not actually.
(I'd need to argue a lot if I needed to make a contending point & to explain exactly what is correct & is not actually correct about that theory.)

The big bang theory puzzles me
I can get my head around a big bang expanding in to one massive universe but not billions of others
So believing in a big bang there must be a chance of billions of other big bangs
That could be happening to this very day
Expanding universe and all
Talking of big bangs where does the milky way placed on the map of the the universe
All informed scholars can date the universe going back in time
Does that mean the milky way is the furthest point from a big bang ?
Surely in the vastness of space there's thousands older than our universe

I am reading right now the Brief History of Time :) it is kind of beyond my capacity but I'm not giving up. Thank you so much professor for trying to disseminate such knowledge to us mortals :D

This is the problem of vain artists, they make people believe in theories and even fictional materialism. The vanity of the actors is such that they try to personify a general something intellectual, for which it was created only in a mediatic way. The intellectual and the knower of space, would be groups of scholars who could popularize the information, not as a "Galileo" that in their time people believed that the earth was square, today these same artists played in format, saying that the earth is Round and rotating very fast. This is all a lie! The indians Surely it will not be the Americans, but the Indian ons, because there are inventors of extreme intelligence who are cheapening even satellites, than a young man of only 18 years built in his room, developing the smallest satellite in the world.The truth is that Americans play with space, but even today they play with popular minds. The Earth is Flat and does not spin, for this is not what I am saying, but you are even conned by these lies, saying that the American was the Moon and returned. Who would be the God to land out of orbit with a land movement with.

I have a question, Stephen. The speed of light is not constant. It's dependent on the medium it is passing through. The speed of light is different depending on whether it's trvelling through glass, or water. In an Anisotropic crystal, like calcite, it travels two different speeds. In the fabric of spacetime, it travels at C. So, when the Big Bang occurred, did spacetime already exist in front of it, or was spacetime created by the Big bang itself, that is, the fabric was created behind the initial wavefront? If so [BB created spacetime fabric], what did the Big Bang blow up into? Pure nothingness? What would the speed of light be in pure nothingness? I would suspect much faster than C. Forgive me if this is an amatuer mistake.

people with neutron stars looks like the molecule and a new life(heaven) in space may be due to the absence of gravity. We could die if bigbang again.

I was not there but suspect the BB was perhaps another Universe pushing into ours. The collision raised the energy level and the mass involved turned to quark soup. It appeared to expand FTL because it was already formed and simply projecting into our realm. The only thing I can think of that would "allow" FTL expansion for an infinitely "small" point. No laws of physics to break... other than the existence of another Universe (which seems to be semi-mainstream) Might even account for the CP violation if one charge went to one Universe and the other charge went to the other.

Mr. Hawking ! Why aren't our world leaders using the technology available to diffuse catastrophic hurricanes ? What is the possibility of stopping a hurricane in it's tracks with explosives ?
