I'm not a huge fan of Judas Priest,nevertheless it needs to be said that heavy metal music was created by three bands Black Sabbath,Led Zeppelin and Judas Priest.The members of these bands came from the English city of Birmingham ( the city that gave the world the industrial revolution) they all worked in the Steel Mills and they combined the sound of the metal presses in their music creating what we now know as heavy metal.The name for this music came from a book by William Burroughs called The Soft Machine ( also the name of a British band from Canterbury)
