This episode of Comic Tropes is all about a comic book that represents The Red Scare. It was 1947 and America was beginning its second wave of being afraid that Communism was going to take over. In the midst of this Red Scare, a group of Catholics in Minnesota put together a comic book called Is This Tomorrow? It was designed to be a terrifying look at how easily the United States could fall to Communism and it was aimed at kids. But it's ridiculous. It's not very plausible at all.
I break down this comic and try to establish the context of when it was created. Try not to have any nightmares.
