The first three stages of round 2 of the 2019 Comeup Xtreme Winch Challenge Series kicked off on a very cold Friday Night at the Springvale property in Wallabadah NSW. There was plenty of winching action from the get go with Phill Bell and Scott Eyb in the Toyota FJ45 taking an early lead. They would end up in second place at the end of the Friday night stages.
John Adamson and Mick Barrett were also off to a great start, they were in the top 5 places for the first three special stages in their 80 series Landcruiser. They had a few interesting moments, but were sitting nicely in third place at the end of Friday nights proceedings.
But it would be previous XWC winners Paul Semmens and Nathan Mills at the top of the leader-board at the end of the night. They won stage 3, came 2nd stage one and despite taking out a witches hat and getting hit with a 30 point penalty in stage 2, they still had enough points to maintain a 9 point lead going into the Saturday stages.
With 7 more stages to come over the weekend, anyone could take the win.
Let’s check out more of the winching action from Friday Night.
